White Mountains Wedding | New Hampshire
From far-flung reaches of the world to a small town in New Hampshire’s White Mountains, multiple generations came to witness and bless Abby and Adam’s marriage. It was the scene of her childhood summers, a geographical constant saturated with significance. Feelings of community were palpable – with those who could be there, with those who could not, with those soon to be born. In that spirit, everyone contributed something for the making of a beautiful late summer’s weekend celebration: the rings forged by the best man, the bouquet assembled by a family friend, the rehearsal and performance of Pinkham’s Wedding Cantata by an ad hoc choir, the wild salmon brought with cousins from Alaska, the cake baked and assembled by the bride and groom themselves. We could go on. Austin and I felt so privileged to contribute in our own way to marking this moment for our friends.
